Blind eyes and refusing reality
David,
I guess reality is just too much for some people.
If anyone thinks that my views differ from those expressed by Judge
Jackson in his findings of facts, let me know. One person has done so
already. I do not consider security problems with IE as being
relevant. They may be real but they are a "quality" factor. And, the
quality of the product is not an issue.
In other words, Bayer can not force you to buy or take their aspirins
even if they are the best aspirins on the market bar-none.
Microsoft (and some of their supporters) might think so. They think
that because IE is a good application, the force sale could not possible
harm anyone. But, that is just bull.
If you are in the industry and want to sell your technology, you better
understand which markets you can pursue and which ones you can not.
Bundling is a major part of that determination. So, when I see people
suggesting a blind eye, I just think "such is life".
