Egypt to Consider Selling Stakes in 60 Companies, Report Says

Cairo, Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Egypt's Ministerial Privatization Committee
will meet today to discuss selling stakes in another 60 state-controlled
companies by mid-year, the business daily El Alam El Yom reported. Among
the companies up for discussion are Eastern Tobacco, the state-controlled
cigarette monopoly, already partially sold through the stock exchange,
Assiut Cement, wholly state-owned, and Heliopolis Housing, partially sold
through the bourse.
