Liberation, a french newspaper, publishes an article about parallel
imports
of pharmaceuticals in Europe.

According to Jacques Pichot, Sanofi, parallel import amounts are less
than
FF 6 billions, out of FF 400 billions for the european market, ie less
than
1.5 %. This figure is higher in Nederland (14 %), Denmark ( 11%) and UK
(7%). Companies try to lower parallel imports by adapting products to
each
individual country : different brand name,  different presentation,...),
and by exerting pressures on sister companies.
