Hi, folks,

      Unbeknownst to me, my subscription to dioxin-l was hacked, that is,
someone sent in a bogus "unsubscribe" on my behalf. I've been working long
hours at my "day job" (software engineering) and hadn't noticed that I
wasn't getting dioxin-l emails. It happened on or around August 4th, which
is when I posted the note about madcow disease...

      This apparently happened to someone else on the list as well, and I
don't think it's a computer glitch. (though who knows...just seems very
coincidental...).

      Anyhow, I'M BACK!!!
