Parallel question - has anyone any data to suggest leaching of pollutants
from jug-style electric kettles into drinking water. These are often made
of polycarbonate to resist heat and handling. Water can remain in
contact with the plastic for a long time at high temperature if the water
left from last boiling is topped-up and reheated.

Is this a potential risk ?
