Official report issued in Belgium about MSW thermolysis and incineration.

Dear listers,

At the request of the regional Belgian minister of environment, the
Institut Scientifique de Service Public (ISSeP) has issued a 100-page
technical report comparing 9 MSW thermolytic process to MSW incineration.
This report is to be completed by another still unissued report covering
the economic aspects of the 10 processes.

MSW thermolysis gets an overall excellent rating with, however, the need to
wait 18 months to examine the commercial size units now in construction in
Europe.

The report is the result of a strong opposition to the construction of a
fifth MSW incinerator - 225,000 tpy - in the Southern half of Belgium.

I can supply the two page text of the conclusions in RTF format attached to
a message to whoever asks for it. I plan to translate these conclusions in
English in a not too distant future.
