Fwd: Microsoft Hegemony
I'm forwarding the following message because it seems especially
appropriate for our ongoing discussion of Microsoft's violation of
antitrust laws.
My own question is why on earth would Microsoft care whether competitors
programs were deleted?

This really only has a tangential relationship to this group, but the
company where I'm interning is now adding MS Office to all of its PCs. The
catch: all other software--Wordperfect, Lotus1-2-3--must be deleted. We've
got no choice. My company said it's a mandatory part of the agreement with
MS.
I bring this to the attention of the group because if
you're company uses Macs and they do a similar deal with MS, you could
face the loss of your preferred software.
