Bork

In a message forward to this list regarding Judge Bork, I made
references to concerns expressed by others that Judge Bork had been
"bought" or had taken contrary positions, prior to his employment by
Netscape.  It was a mistake to forward a response to this thread from a
different this to this list, where it appeared out of context, and some
comments probably seem to have been gratuitous.  One reader also found
my note insulting to Judge Bork, which was not my intent.  

I have no idea why Judge Bork decided to become engaged in this dispute,
and I agree with the writer who suggested that Bork must have
anticipated criticism of his position, and the impact of his
representation of Netscape on his reputation.
