ACTION ALERT REMINDER:
SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE HEARING SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, MARCH 3, 1998

Today is the final day to send a fax to the Senate Judiciary Committee from
NetAction's fax server to request that the committee hear from consumers as
well as competitors.

Send a fax now from NetAction's server, at: <http://www.netaction.org/fax/>.

On Tuesday, March 3, 1998, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee will
scrutinize Microsoft's monopoly power during a hearing on the subject of
"Market Power
and Structural Change in the Software Industry." Bill Gates has been
invited to appear as a witness along with the CEO's of Microsoft's most
vocal competitors, Scott McNeally of Sun Microsystems, Inc., and Jim
Barksdale of Netscape.

NetAction is uring Internet users to keep up the pressure on our
representatives in Congress in order to ensure a full review of all of
Microsoft's monopolistic and anti-competitive practices. For detailed
information on NetAction's concerns about Microsoft, see our White Paper,
"From Microsoft Word to Microsoft World: How Microsoft is Building a Global
Monopoly."

The full report is at: <http://www.netaction.org/msoft/world/>.

NetAction is asking everyone who is concerned about Microsoft's growing
monopoly to fax and/or phone the committee to thank the members for holding
the hearing and pushing for a full review of Microsoft's practices, and also
to ask that more consumer voices be included in the committee's
deliberations. We agree that it is important for the committee to hear from
Microsoft's industry competitors. But as Internet users, we may have
different -- but equally important -- concerns to share with the committee.
And since U.S. antitrust laws were enacted to protect consumers, it is
crucial that our voices be heard during these hearings.

The Micro$oft Monitor, Issue No. 23, has more information about the March 3
hearing, as well as a complete list of committee members and their fax and
phone numbers, at: <http://www.netaction.org/monitor/mon23.html>. NetAction
has set up a fax server that Internet users can use to urge committee
members to hear from consumers.

Go to: <http://www.netaction.org/fax/> to send a fax now in support of
NetAction's request that the committee hear from consumers.
