Re: NT shuts out third-party font packages



I pointed to the demise of Adobe ATM a year ago in this forum.

First, 3 years ago my kid's CREATIVE WRITER software would not recognize
postscript fonts, so they were limited to the few Truetype which came
along.

Then, when I was forced to accept the W95 upgrade with my Sony laptop, 
I couldn't get ATM to function, and invested in the ATM 4 deluxe
upgrade. 
Even the upgrade was unable to function with the superfast neomagic
video driver. 
I chose fast video and returned ATM deluxe.

To save hundreds of dollars in fonts from obsolescence, I
uploaded all fonts to an NT4 system, where they were automatically
converted to truetype, and brought them back.
