GoldTouch sues MS for patent infringement

GoldTouch technologies, a manufacturer of computer mice, has sued Microsoft
for fraud and patent infringement. GoldTouch says it developed an
ergonomic mouse design to help reduce repetitive stress injury, and showed
this design to Microsoft in September 1997, hoping Microsoft would license
it. Instead, GoldTouch says Microsoft declined to license it, but is now
using aspects of the design for the Microsoft IntelliMouse Pro. GoldTouch
says Microsoft was fully aware that the smaller company had filed for a
patent on the design.
