Poll finds user discontent with Windows

A survey shows 58% (plus or minus *ten* points--ouch) of people at Giga
Information Group's Emerging Technology Scene conference would switch away
from Windows "if they had the chance." Giga' Rob Enderle says the current
situation is similar to discontent with IBM in the early to mid 1980s.

One poll question asked what technology company was least likely to live up
to its promises. Microsoft won by a large margin (59%) over second-place
AOL/Netscape (14%).
