What kind of error are you getting?

Are you running out of disk space?

First, I would remove the .*.summary files under your netscape mail
tree, then try and open email again.

Once you've renamed your inbox, does Netscape email come up?  You can
read a Netscape mailbox with elm or other standard Unix mail reader,
it's the same format.  You might try using one of them to reduce the
size of the email box.

If you can get netscape mail to come up without your current Inbox, then
it's probably a size issue.  What you can then try is reduce the size of
the Inbox with another mail reader and then try starting Netscape
Messenger again.
