Actually, no. Microsoft licenses rather than sells.

No, I think it shows that Microsoft employees are not allowed to use
non-Microsoft word processors, and the output reflects the quality of
the tool employed. Those odd mid-line hyphens are the "Microsoft
hyphen," or, in shorthand, the "MShy-phen"
