  Actually I doubt that South Carolina ever intended to devote much time or
money to the
cause. When they joined the other states I was astonished because it seems
SC  prefers
siding with big business and monopoly interests in deeds if not words. From
my observations
in the past they much prefer a concentration of power. Thus I'm not very
upset that  they took
the opportunity to bow out.
My guess is that they only got into it to grab a few local headlines.
This event  is certainly no real loss to the group of states which remain
committed to the
seeking  justice.
