I didn't connect it yesterday, but in Tevanian's testimony we find Avid
Technologies mentioned as one of the companies that was pressured by
Microsoft to stop QuickTime support. Now we have learned that Microsoft
actually partly owns Avid. There is a pattern to all those Microsoft
owned companies dropping open standards.
