MS appeal: we *need* profs' confidential tapes




Microsoft has appealed a decision denying it access to the confidential
Netscape interview tapes made by David Yoffie and Michael Cusumano of
Harvard and MIT.  Microsoft claims the tapes may be crucial to its defense
and insists it needs the "raw data" on the tapes.

Yoffie says the Harvard faculty is responsible for the vast majority of
case studies used in business schools, and that if Microsoft wins, "I would
never be able to do another book."

The appeals judge promises a quick ruling.  More here:
