Re: Haloween I and IE 5
IE 5 is in beta (as case pointed out). Microsoft would (and does) argue
that internal components can have independent version numbers. For
example, DriveSpace, WordPad, Imaging, etc. all have their own version
numbers, as do system DLL's, etc. It is, honestly, the same on other
platforms, as well (for example, libc (well, not really part of the
"OS", I guess), kernel drivers, etc.)
What makes it disingenuous here is that they're selling it as an
independent component, which is quite silly.
