Well, that's the nub of the crux, isn't it? Reporters and editor are
supposed to be quick studies on a whole range of issues they didn't
previously understand. That's their job, provided they take it seriously.
But the press, like so many other people, are being buffaloed by the
technocrats into thinking that these issues are simply beyond their ken.
