I wondered the same thing. There are earlier postings to this list
that raised concerns about Joel Klein's appointment as the current
head of the DOJ anti-trust division. (Senator Kerry raised concerns
at his appointment hearing) There is also information
about the 1995 "restructuring" of the DOJ anti-trust division after
the 1994 GOP takeover of Congress.
