Sure, and my guess is that when NT Y2K issues hit the fan,
they'll have to do it all over again and keep their need for
another year or so to (try to) straighten it all out. But that's
ok, the taxpayers have deep pockets.

You probably saved a lot more than $1000 per PC over the
life of it considering additional hidden NT costs..."they'd be
just as functional"? I doubt that.
