It's impossible to tell without seeing all the code, especially
what's different when an "inferior" browser is encountered. I'm not
saying there's nothing odd going on here, but the mere fact that later
versions of Netscape weren't labeled as "inferior" makes me tend to
believe it's more about a browser's features than brand-name
preference.
