But I called Gateway today and a customer sales representative (lackey)
told me that Gateway would sell me a system without an OS. The price?
The same as with an OS. Sounds a lot like the pricing scheme that OEM's
had to pay in 1984. Except now the pricing is for the consumer. Why
doesn't the DOJ see this? Shouldn't there be some gargantuan fine that
comes down on Microsoft on the order of 1 billion dollars to recover all
of the sales of OS's that shouldn't have happened? What kinda crap is
this?
