What apps do you run or do you simply play with the opsys? If you use standard apps (corel or ms office or any component of them, programming languages, databases, web development, etc.), how recent are the versions? Are they developed specifically for your opsys? Do you have a 2nd machine or dual boot machine that you secretly run win95 on and us

Well, I use OS/2. I have no Windows programs anywhere on my system.

I use the IBM Works (free with OS/2) for all my Word Processing,
SpreadSheet, and personal information management needs.

I use FaxWorks for all my faxes - it's so easy, just write a document in
IBM Works, then drop it on the FaxWorks icon and go do something else
while it sends.

For presentations, I use Lotus FreeLance for OS/2.

I play several great games when the mood strikes me: "Trials of Battle,"
"BUGS," "Avarice," and "Galactic Civilizations" from Stardock. I also
play Mah Johnng and Chess and Solitaire. They come free with OS/2.

I'm an Astronomy nut, so I look at COSMOS every so often to see what's
happening in the sky.

Of course, I connect to the Net with NetScape at least once a day to
check my mail, and to get the latest info on what's going on.

My wife uses NeoN Grafix 2D Vector for graphical drawings, it's as
feature-filled as CorelDRAW, but it's faster and the files take less
space. It's cheaper too.

She also uses NeoN Grafix 3D for animations.

Sometimes she uses PhotoGraphics TrueSpectra for re-touching and
editing.

I used Object REXX to write a midi-creating program. I can generate my
own computer music and play it when I feel like it.

Of course, that's all what I do in my spare time. In my work time, I
develop software for Maintenance Management. And I run a small,
5-person business, all on OS/2.

Two things I don't spend much time doing: re-booting and re-installing
my OS.
