Aah, but they're CHANGING!  Yes folks, "I'm here to tell ya, Win32 (NT and 9x)
have support for UNC paths  (Universal Naming Convention)!

Yes, that means NAMES!  Wow, only what, 5, 10 years after the competition had
it, Microsoft has it too.  Well, sort of.  Sort of, as in the sense of the 80-20
rule.    Any time you try to introduce UNC paths into an application you have to
determine which APIs support it and which don't.  Will it run on 95, NT or both
because they don't always handle it the same way (Did someone say
"Universal"?).  And after you have got it to work in your application, then you
have to go and reinvent the wheel all over again to make sure your INSTALLER
gets those UNC paths correctly into the registry on all chosen platforms.

And these are the boys who are going to integrate the Internet into the OS?
