To All of You Netscape Users
Paranoia strikes again. I know many of you are Netscape users so here's an
unpleasant experience I had using this browser.
Last Saturday while web surfing, I came across a site which had a click-on
bar stating "CLICK TO SEE WHAT I KNOW ABOUT YOUR C:\ DRIVE".
So I did, and there was a list of all my folders and files. The top line
link read: "...to go to higher level..." , which listed all of my drives.
I consider this a major flaw in the browser, to allow this to happen.
Netscape's reply to my email enquiry was a long, irrelevant form letter
about "cookies". DUH! They have ignored my response to this bit of
garbage. And it happens with both Navigator 3.01 and Navigator 4.05.
The url is: http://www.geocities.com/area51/cavern/7081/gregor.html
It's the William Wallace home page. If this site can read my hard drive,
so can every other web site. Maybe all browsers have this "feature"?
