IMNSHO it's just another example of how our society has come to
accept 'lying and cheating' as being a 'necessary evil', especially in
politics and in doing business. Take away all the trimmings and what
you have is Ms. Corocoran defending the 'everybody's doing it' excuse.
Sure M$ isn't the only company to employ these kinds of unethical
practices, but is that a good enough reason to accept it??? What I'd
like to ask Ms Corocoran is if the next time someone close to her (ie.
children, husband, etc) tells her a big lie she's going to accept the
'everyone's lying' excuse. As a society we wonder why we're raising
children without a basic sense of what's right and wrong, but the truth
is they're just following our lead.
