     I agree with you 100% that it's the real reason users use a
particular product, but when asked my guess is that fact is often
ignored.  The poll probably asks what they'd choose, and since they're
rarely able choose what comes bundled with the machine they're likely
to forget all about that category.  To tell the truth I'd be willing to
bet there's a big difference in what they'd answer in a poll and what's
actually running on their machine.
