     It certainly would help if those who make these decisions had a
clue, but the problem is that unless they get one soon it's a moot
point.  If they don't get it in the near future it won't matter if they
get it later, because if nobody supports the alternatives they'll
quickly cease to exist.  It's kinda like voting, if nobody votes we're
likely to lose the right to.  If people want choices in this industry
they'll have to making them, if they sit back and allow M$ to be the
'defacto' standard they'll soon be no alternatives left.

     Hey I work with those guys, they're the same IS department heads
that keep sending me all those ridiculous 'virus alerts' ;-).
