That's silly. It's not "plagiarism" if a license is granted! I recommend
the Berkeley license because it makes the software more useful.

I did not say anything of the sort. What I did say is that the GNU General
Public License, because it incorporates an extreme anti-business
agenda and does not promote the development of commercial software, is
not the best license for freely redistributable software. What I advocate
is that the Consumer Project on Technology take the position that the
"Berkeley-style" license is preferable, because it fosters the development
of both commercial and non-commercial alternatives and does the most to
promote consumer choice.
