re: PFF Conference on Microsoft and Antitrust
If my memory serves me, James Miller was one of the Reagan advisors that
vociferously counseled against the return to the gold standard, and a
pragmatic float of the dollar against other currencies.
He could be a Teddy Roosevelt style Republican, I believe he's a good
friend of Senator Hatch. He seems to haunt the talk show circuit during
the budget negotiations every year. He has spoken against widening
budgets for years, even though his administration let the deficit horse
out of the barn.
These guys will make the case for the Establishment, for and against
Microsoft. It will be interesting to hear what the banking community
will say through this forum. I don't think they are into undocumented
.dlls and the like on their systems. The old myth of computer
micro-penny shaving routines comes to mind.
