    My intentions were entirely the first kind, not the last.  

    I have found that for some other products, Microsoft's offering came
up when a competitor was searched for, and I wanted to see if this was a
more general issue.  I think it is more general.  It also seems that
Barnes and Noble comes up with just about any search, but in the case of
the Amazon search, it had more than the normal menu choices, so there is
intelligence of some type built in.  

    I find this interesting, as MS is working on the development of a
new product in this area.  
   
    The more I look at electronic commerce, it doesn't seem entirely
friction free.
