Which would indicate to this enduser that the changes that IE performs
that screw the NS install are COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY to IE's
function - since IE works quite nicely when NS is properly configured as well.
Now if you take that requirement (that all nonMS products should be uninstalled
to remove the "targets" for malicious MS install routines, then install MS products,
THEN reinstall the nonMS products) and raise it to the nth power, you have an idea
of what your average OS/2 user (or name your own predicament) must contend
with in this "innovative" world of MS dominance.
The difficulty in presenting the obvious to our Justice system makes me think that our
anti-trust courts are stuffed with ex-jurors from the OJ trial. I do understand this is about
law - and not about justice. But with the Rogues of Redmond supplying a steady stream
of violations of letter and spirit, SOMETHING ought to stick soon besides bad PR.
A million dollar a day fine to Mr Bill is like pricking his finger. I don't want his lunch money
delivered to the court. I don't want his garbage software opened up to serve as the
new international standard for all to work with. I want the gun he holds to the head's
of our third party vendors unloaded and filled with epoxy. I want the best and brightest
freed from the tyrrany of his business practices, so they can offer us real choices based
on their own sense of "what the user wants". And since we are not all clones yet, that
means many markets, not just one plaything for the rich and infamous.
Good thing its friday.
