Win95 Manual
In a Win95 Manual, there are instructions for booting a computer and
bypassing the "Win95 INTERFACE" by pressing the F8 key when the words
"Starting Windows 95" shows on the screen. Their own word..."interface",
not "operating system". This puts you directly into M$DOS with a C:\
prompt. Programs written for Windoze won't run, but DOS programs will.
So, when did IE become part of the OS, according to M$?
The same manual says you can connect to the internet by using "ftp or
Telnet" which are included in W95, and nothing about IEx.x, though IE was
on a separate CD in the box this Win95 CD came in.
