Just how scummy is Ziff-Davis....

While we are discussing the morals of Ziff-Davis.... I regularly get
letters from them stating that I owe them money for subscriptions I
never asked for, sometimes after getting a magazine or two in the mail.
Usually they threaten to use a collection agency.

Does anyone else have this happen to them?  Is it some individual
signing me up for random magazines, or does ZD do this, pretending that
people have subscribed, as a matter of policy?  How deeply scummy are
they, I wonder?
