Mattresses? I think those coffins are stuffed with soil from
"the old country". Their money is tied up in stock options.
And if you can sleep hanging by your feet, who needs
mattresses.......................;-)

We all know the MS position is smoke, and acrid smoke
at that. Mr. Lessig will no doubt be "biased" by the truth of
the matter, in the legalese of "prejudicial testimony" - in
other words, truth, the knowledge of which is sufficient to
convict the accused. Even if you don't wish MS to be
"executed" as has been suggested in a past post or three,
you can't help but admit that the sludge they've been
slinging at the court means either they are guilty on all counts
and then some, OR they don't have sufficient collective
knowledge of software to have been the legitimate source
of Windoze in the first place (liars or frauds, or both).

The simple (perhaps minded) solution is to remove all that
IS "IE" BUT NOT REQUIRED FOR THE "OS", and to
REMOVE all code that does nothing but screw nonMS
installs. We all know it is possible, and many of us know of
several ways to accomplish it. Perhaps one or more of our
listmembers who are conversant in Windoze compatible
code might take the time to address the court with a solution.
When the court receives not one, but many such simple
solutions, they will have no option but to interpret ALL of MS's
responses to date as grounds for contempt.
We may wish to continue our discussion of the many actions
taken by MS that are "actionable", but I ask that those of you who
are programmers and have sufficient knowledge/tools, attend to
this one simple task now - and help us "clear the air" in the
courtroom.

Thank you
