Web site for petition supporting the DOJ's case against Microsoft
Would someone on this list be able (and have the time) to provide a Web
page for a petition, where people could sign for support of the DOJ
action. I realize there has been discussion whether DOJ will be
successful, and the judge should not be lobbied, but it would be good to
further raise public awareness that there is individuals concerned with
Microsoft behavior in the past.
There is tremendous amount of INDIVIDUALS who, not knowing each other
(with some exceptions of course) have been quite INDEPENDENTLY aware,
about the Microsoft monopoly and bizarre practices. (This awareness may
have been gained by summary of small and bigger events, to the extend
that it is almost intuitive for many of them.)
And that is what I would like to see addressed in a signed petition of a
sort where the individuals declare this awareness and support for what
DOJ is doing. This petition could be send to lobby for this and more DOJ
action or just to increase awareness of this loose movement. The
individual factor of this is I think important, as it is not easy to be
dismissed as "Sun's/Netscape's/IBM's/somebody else's brainchild".
Sincerely
Milan Zimmermann
