Some mailers do not make available any or all of the header lines.
On Eudora/Mac you click an icon (2nd from the left at the top
of the message) to see all headers.

These headers may tell you a message actually came from other than
the source it first looks like.  Headers can be faked too though.

The internet is insecure, open and assumes the goodwill of people.

Putting someone other than yourself on a list or removing someone is
easy with many lists and is a means a troublemaker may use to disrupt
a list.

Its very easy to complain about the list administrators but eith every
list I have ever been on, I have found the administrators to be doing a
good job and that they are limited by more by abusers than anything else.
