To all list subscribers:

As the moderator of this list and in reponse to your many requests for
direction, I wanted to clarify the purpose of dioxin-l. This list was
established (as rightly identified by so many of you) as a forum for
activists to develop and discuss strateigies for elimintating dioxin.
Throughout its life, the list has taken on many different personas, but
its ultimate purpose is for activist interaction. Although industry has
been a presence on the list (and a sometimes pesky one at that), Mr.
Sagady's advice is best taken - just ignore it. Even if we close the
list and make it subscriber only, industry will find a way to
infiltrate. They always do. My wish would be that we all just keep
posting our views to the list, and don't be afraid to let those emotions
show through. If you see something you don't like from inustry,
RESPOND. Maybe after lots and lots of responses, we will finally get
through to someone.

Thank you all for participating in this list. Despite it being sometimes
emotionally charge, the excahnge of ideas and information is invaluable.
