Ashes produced by Municipal Solid Waste Incinerator
Hello, everybody !
I am looking for any type of information about the various ways of getting
rid of MSWI ashes known to contains heavy metal oxides and salts,
organohalogens like dioxins plus, maybe, some other goodies.
The ash is generally dumped in landfills fitted with (eternal ?)
geomembranes supposed to contain leachates so they can be neutralized before
the reach table waters.
If you know about something about this ash and, hopefully, about ways of
handling it with due respect to the environment, I am very interested to
learn about that.
If you know about things which been done with the ash and which should not
have been done, I am interested too.
Thanks in advance for the time you'll devote to my questions.
Best regards, Manu.
