Love Canal Law suits

Does anyone have a brief overview of the outcomes of the lawsuit(s) at
Love Canal. I understand that the State of New York sued Occidental. What
happened? Did the residents also sue?
Have there been follow-up health studies done in the last 5 years on the
health of the evacuated residents and/or on the health of their children?
