RE: dioxin exposure routes

In response to Jackie Hunt Christensen's statement about
no calling for people to be vegans, I would have
to strongly disagree. Having lived in Costa Rica and
now living in Colorado, I feel that there is no room in
an environmental coalition for cattle ranchers.
Cattle ranching is an environmental destructive practice
regardless of the health impliccations from eatting
dioxin contaminated meat.
But it is not only cattle, not eatting animal
products is environmental benefical. Simply put, we
live in a finite world and eatting animal products requires
more resources than a vegan diet. The depletion of
resources in order to provide animal products is almost
done in a non-sustainable manner.
In the goal of an anti-dioxin campaign is to find
long term, holistic solutions, then a call for
a vegan diet is totally appropriate, at least in my
view.
