Dioxin Info in Spanish, was Re: URGENT !! CONSULTA DESDE SANTIAGO DE , CHILE
I am a reporter for the daily, La Segunda de Santiago de Chile. At the
end of December, 1995, there was a fire in a chemical industry. The
earliest reports indicated that dioxin had spread across a large part of
the city of Santiago. Various people have been diagnosed with chemical
pnumonia caused by dioxin. I want to know, if any of you might be able to
help me, as I am preparing a report about this incident. The authorities
and executives of the burned company have tried to downplay the importance
of what happened, and they have announced that the fire does not present a
major problem for the citizens. I have talked with some chemicals
experts, who indicated to me that what happened is one of the most
dangerous events to occur in the american continent in recent years. I
would like to know if you are aware of this fire and if you are able to
send me INFORMATION IN SPANISH REGARDING TOXICITY AND HEALTH PROBLEMS. I
await your reply with great interest.
