what is "chlorofiber"?

i bought an ugly used hat last week, only because the label said:
'chlorofiber - 45%'.  anyone know what it's composed of? pvc or pvdc spun
fiber yarn?

looks like another market takeover by the chlorine indutry, using its low
cost ingredient, sea salt (NaCl).  it's very frustrating to watch chlorine
production expand and enter new markets, even as the science says we need
to ban/phaseout if it leads to significant organochlorine production.
