I am seeking information on "safe levels" or limit values of

I'm also interested in obtaining typical/background levels.
Basically, I am doing a general review/assessment of dioxins
(I use the term dioxin for brevity-but I really mean all the
congeners of both dioxins and furans and other dioxin-like
compounds). As part of my assessment, I would like data on both
background levels of dioxins as well as limit values for these
compounds. I would like this data for both general wastes and
environmental media, specifically, soils and sediments.
I am also really interested in getting information on the various
regulations and guidelines used to control dioxins.
This would be really appreciated,
Greetings from Sweden
We have monitored concentrations of dioxins in rural areas at the
swedish westcoast to aprox. 5 fg/m3 as a long time average level.
Concentrations have also been monitored at urban areas by others. The highest
concentrations (500 fg/m3) vere found in heavy industrialised areas.
