Love Canal

G'Day,
Can anyone direct me too detail on the Love Canal. We have a new development
/ ReZoning project underway being promoted by our local Goverment that it
situated in part over an old dump that was a mangrove 'swamp' and that at
all times was open to sea water intrusion. I understand this roughly is the
senario that occurred in the Love Canal development but have been unable to
get any specific detail. Any help most appreciated.
