NYT endorses S. 1360, sort of too

The NYT also had an editorial today, that was almost a carbon copy of the
Washington Post editorial. Some excerpts

"Civil liberties specialists, businesses organizations and medical
ethicists generaloly support the billl. . .. .

"Some concerned professionals oppose the bill as indadequate...

"The bill need firmer requirements for researchers who want to make
use of medical records, State and Federal Oversight officials, and law
enforcement agencies, should be required to show strong need for every
medical record they seek."

Again, like the Washington Post, the idea that insurance companies,
not doctors of patients, controll decisions about records, was not
mentioned or questioned.
