Earlier this month the Star Tribune published an investigative 
project documenting West Publishing Co.'s practices of 
dispensing cash awards and gifts of lavish travel among the 
federal judiciary -- including seven justices of the U.S. 
Supreme Court -- during a period when West was both a 
significant contractor and a litigant before the courts.
