Program Manager ISAR: A Clearinghouse on Grassroots Cooperation in
Eurasia, is seeking a Program Manager to coordinate its
environmental NGO programs in the Russian Federation. The
position is based in Washington, DC and requires a significant
amount of travel to Russia, including to our field offices in
Moscow, Siberia and Vladivostok. Qualified candidates should have
experience working in Russia, an understanding of environmental
issues in Russia, fluent Russian, some management experience and a
desire to travel. Salary range: $25,000-30,000, depending on
experience.
Responsibilities include program oversight and planning; liaison
with funders; report writing; NGO outreach, both in the US and in
Russia; and travel.

Managing Editor/Production Manager ISAR is seeking a managing
editor/production manager to work part-time for Surviving
Together, a Quarterly on Grassroots Cooperation in Eurasia.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate the work of section editors.
2. Manage the production of Surviving Together.
3. Edit several sections of the magazine.
4. Solicit articles.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with writers, photographers
and activists who contribute to the journal, including those from
Eurasia. Qualifications Required:
1. B.A. in journalism or related field.
2. Two years experience in writing and editing.
3. Macintosh skills, including Microsoft word and Pagemaker.
4. Flexibility, resourcefulness and ability to supervise and work
well with others in a small, busy office. Qualifications
Preferred:
1. Knowledge of Russian language.
2. Knowledge of political, social and economic issues in the
former Soviet Union.
3. Experience with nonprofits and NGOs. Salary: Based on
experience.
